5 Easy Cleaning Tips (Even if you are pushed for time).

When you’re running a busy life, the last thing you have the time (or energy) for is cleaning the house.  But the good news is, you don’t have to spend your weekends with a mop and bucket on hand at all times.

We have 5 super easy cleaning tips to help you keep an Instagram worthy house, when you have no time to spare.

Use the basket method.

It doesn’t matter how often you wipe down the skirting boards or keep on top of your dusting, if you have clutter lying around then your home is going to look messy.

But there’s a simple solution: baskets.

Buy a few baskets dedicated to certain items and whenever you see them lying around, just toss them in. For example; a dedicated laundry basket means that when you see any clothes that are out of place, like the pair of jeans on the floor or jacket on the back of the door, it can be thrown in the basket and put away when you have the time.

Sweep - Don’t Vacuum.

Unless you have one of those fancy wall mounted vacuum cleaners then vacuuming the floor can be a right faff, not to mention time drain. So instead invest in a sweeper and give your floors a quick sweep each day. You can do it whilst you’re waiting for the kettle to boil or the bath to run. It doesn’t have to take long and then do a vacuum through once a week.

Don’t just use the dishwasher for dishes.

Your dishwasher is like the superhero of kitchen gadgets. It’s not just there to keep your dishes clean, but can also help clean a variety of other items because of the combination of hot water and soap. Some ideas of dishwasher friendly items are:

Kitchen exhaust filter

Dish sponges

Plastic toys

Toothbrush holders and soap dishes

Scrub brushes

Plastic hairbrushes and toothbrushes

Dish Racks

Use wipes.

If you don’t have much time then why waste it on having to hunt out cloths and sprays etc.

Instead change the way you buy your cleaning supplies and purchase disinfecting wipes.

Keep a pack of wipes in each room so that you can just give a quick wipe over of surfaces when you’re in there. So if you’re waiting for your kids to get out of bed, wipe the sideboards or if you’re in the bathroom just a quick wipe over. It’ll take less than 2 minutes and you’ll have kept on top of dirt and dust.

Clean as you go.

Before you head to bed make sure you take the rubbish out of the lounge, put the dishes in the dish washer and wipe down the sides. If you do it as you go along then it’ll be much easier than waking up to a pile of dirty dishes and mess everywhere.

We all want a clean home but sometimes it’s just not a priority. However, by using those little nuggets of time you have in between bigger tasks should help keep your home clean and tidy.
